Michael P. Johnson, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Creighton School of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He is a Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, and has been practicing at Red Rocks Ob-Gyn since 1998. His clinical interests include surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery. He is married and has three children. He enjoys golf, skiing, gardening, and his children's many activities.
Jennifer O. Grube, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Grube attended The Ohio State University School of Medicine, graduating with honors, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where she served as chief resident. She has been practicing at Red Rocks Ob-Gyn since 2002. She brings to Red Rocks OBGYN expertise diagnosing, treating and educating patients on all facets of women’s health and wellness. She specializes in all aspects of obstetrical care including both low and high risk obstetrics, and especially enjoys working with pregnant athletes. Her gynecologic interests include minimally invasive surgeries such as robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy and hysteroscopic removal of uterine fibroids and polyps, as well as endometrial ablation for heavy vaginal bleeding. She especially enjoys working with patients to optimize their health with particular interests in incorporating diet, exercise habits, and complementary therapies into her treatment recommendations. She has served as Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both Lutheran Medical Center and St. Anthony’s Hospital, and was voted a “5280 Top Doctor” in 2018. In her free time she enjoys running, skiing, tennis, travel, and spending time with her husband and 2 children.
Gwang-Yi Hwang, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Hwang is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She also completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She has been practicing at Red Rocks OB/GYN since 2009. Her clinical interests are minimal invasive surgery (with emphasis on robotic-assisted laparoscopy) including hysterectomy and pelvic organ prolapse repair. She has a passion for educating and guiding patients to have a thorough understanding of their health issues. She has served as Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Anthony Hospital since 2013, and was voted a “5280 Top Doctor” in 2022. She speaks medical Spanish and conversational Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Hwang is married and has two sons. She enjoys travel, snowboarding, hiking, mixology and craft beers, and considers herself a foodie.
Doreen B. Pearce, MD
Dr. Pearce is a recent addition to the Red Rocks family. She attended medical school at McGovern Medical School in the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and completed OB-GYN residency at Parkland Hospital and UT Southwestern in Dallas. Training at one of the busiest labor and deliveries in the United States has prepared her for any obstetric challenge and she uses an individualized and holistic approach to treat each patient with sensitivity to all cultures and backgrounds. Her clinical interests include family planning, breastfeeding medicine and complex obstetrics as well as minimally invasive surgery to treat common gynecologic complaints. She speaks both Spanish and Hebrew.
In her spare time, Dr. Pearce enjoys exploring new hiking trails and attending Orange Theory and yoga classes. She is passionate about food and loves exploring restaurants and breweries with her husband and their daughter.
Jamie Smith, N.P.
Jamie received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Nursing at University of Nevada. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009. Jamie lives and practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada as an Orthopedic Spine Nurse Practitioner. In 2016, she entered the field of Women's Health. She joined Red Rocks in 2017. Clinically, she is interested in family planning and obstetrical care. She is married with two children. She loves to travel and spend time with family.
Emily O’Keeffe, N.P.
Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Denver College of Nursing in 2013 and spent the majority of her nursing career working in the ER. She graduated from Walden University with her Master’s degree in 2020 and joined the Red Rocks team as a board-certified nurse practitioner shortly after. Emily is passionate about supporting women and navigating their health through all seasons of life. She has special interest in infertility, PCOS, and weight management. Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and mini aussies. She loves gardening, travel, and a good glass of bubbly.
Abi Kenney, NP
Abi received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2016. In 2019, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University. As a registered nurse, Abi has worked as an emergency department and cardiovascular intensive care nurse. After receiving her master’s degree, Abi began her career working in a rural public health clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner focusing on women’s care. Abi joined Red Rocks in 2023 and is dedicated to providing preventative and obstetrical care for women. Her clinical interests include gestational diabetes. She enjoys spending time with family and her English Bulldog, staying physically active, and exploring Colorado
Glenna Kersten, N.P.
Glenna completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Utica College of Syracuse University in New York. She obtained a Masters Degree in Nursing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. She has been practicing at Red Rocks since 2012. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and her two children.
Suzanne Brown, RDN
Suzanne Brown holds dual degrees in Biology and Clinical Nutrition from Trinity University and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She has been practicing as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for over twenty-five years, combining nutrition science, modern weight management, integrative health practices, and her heartfelt optimism and energy to help patients succeed. She believes in a holistic and personalized whole-foods approach to healthy eating and healing weight loss. Wellness to Suzanne is about helping each person find their perfect mind and body balance to fuel their life, and their fun. Suzanne lives at 8,000 feet in the Colorado mountains with her husband, two kids, two dogs, and two horses. If they're not hiking, running, snowshoeing, or getting lost on a Jeep trail, they're off exploring other playgrounds around the world.
The current practice was originally founded by Drs. Harvey Cohen, M.D. and Wayne Conner, M.D. in 1964.
